Why ungro exists

Look properly at the ingrown hair aisle and you find something strange.

The two best-selling ingrown hair products in the world share three of their four hero ingredients. They are, functionally, the same product — differentiated by which fruit they smell like and how funny their branding is. Nobody in this category is competing on formulation any more.

Meanwhile, the products that do work are alcohol-heavy things that burn like antiseptic on skin you shaved ten minutes ago, in packaging that hasn't changed since 1998.

So people try both, blame themselves, and quietly decide that ingrown hairs are just something you live with.

They're not. It's a formulation problem, and formulation problems have solutions.

ungro is that solution, made properly. Built from the mechanism up — what an occluded follicle actually needs, rather than what looks good on an ingredient list. Made and packed in small batches in New Zealand. There's a batch number on every bottle, because we want to know which one you've got.

It won't work overnight. It'll take two to three weeks. We'll always tell you the real number.

And we publish the science, so you can check the work.
