For regrowth you didn't ask for.

This one isn't for a hair that's stuck. It's for hair that grows perfectly well, out of a follicle that works, and that you didn't want.

Nothing is malfunctioning. The problem is quantity and coarseness — how much comes back, how fast, and how much like sandpaper it feels on day three.

What is it? A water-based gel in a roller, formulated by a cosmetic chemist in New Zealand, designed to reduce regrowth over time and soften what does come back.

Why is it a gel and not an oil? Because both of its actives are supplied in water. Putting them in an oil would mean carrying them in something they don't dissolve in. The other product on this site is anhydrous for exactly the same kind of reason, in the opposite direction — the format follows the active, every time.

What's in it, and what's actually behind it? Two botanical actives.

The first is a complex of saw palmetto, willowherb and pumpkin seed, chosen because it is marketed for reducing regrowth over time. That outcome is supplier data. We've asked for the study design — whether it was in people, how many, for how long, and who paid for it — and we haven't seen it yet. The underlying mechanism work behind it was done on an isolated enzyme in the lab, not on people.

The second pairs cocoa-derived flavones with a bioengineered decapeptide, and is described as shortening the follicle's growing phase and bringing its resting phase on earlier. All of that was measured at cell level, in a dish. No people.

Both are genuinely good reasons to put an ingredient in a formula. Neither is a reason for us to tell you what will happen to your regrowth, and we're not going to pretend otherwise.

How long does it take? Four to six weeks — a full growth cycle — before you judge it. Slower than the oil, because it's working on hair that hasn't grown yet.

Where can you use it? Legs, underarms, bikini line, chest, face. Anywhere you'd rather the regrowth were gentler.

What this gel is not

It will not remove hair, and it is not a hair removal method. You still shave or wax exactly as you did.

It is not a treatment for hirsutism, PCOS or any hormonal condition, and it is not a substitute for one. If you're managing something with a doctor, keep doing that. This is a cosmetic gel.

It isn't permanent. Stop using it and regrowth returns to normal. Nothing you can buy in a bottle changes that, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling you a story.

What this gel has not been shown to do

We have not tested this formula on people. No consumer assessment, no instrumental measure, no clinical trial — so no numbers, no percentages, and no "clinically proven."

"Reduces regrowth over time" is what this gel is built to do and what its actives are supplied for. It is not something ungro has measured, and until we have, that's the most we'll say. A consumer assessment on the finished gel would change this paragraph, and it's on the list.

50 ml — for legs and everything else. $49
10 ml — for the bag, the gym, the weekend. $19

How to use

Roll on after every shave or wax, then daily in between. It works across the regrowth cycle, so the days you don't remove hair matter as much as the days you do.

When not to use it

Not on broken skin. Not on freshly lasered skin without checking with your technician first. External use only.

If you're pregnant or breastfeeding, or managing a hormonal condition, talk to your doctor before adding any new product.
